Clarksville metro alone is nearly 270K; then toss in the
Nashville metro of over 1.2M and not only are there
players, there's alums and money.

Apparently, their leadership is waking up. They've
hired a fine coach in Will Healy and upgraded their
facilities. Painfully, they may beat us for a second
consecutive year in 2018. I don't remember this
happening as long as I've been a Colonel.

I'd like to think "it just won't happen"-Peay beating
us two years in a row; but-sadly, it's entirely plausible.

Peay fans have had fun with that play on words for years. When Fly Williams was a star basketball player there, the cheer was “The fly is open, let’s go Peay.” Later, when the Akron Zips were in the OVC, at the OVC bb tourney you could hear, “Down with the Zips, let’s go Peay.”
