OVC Game of the Week

The November 3 Eastern Kentucky at Austin Peay game has been selected as a “Wildcard Selection” in the OVC Game of the Week football package on ESPN3. The game will kick off at 4:00 p.m. CT at Fortera Stadium.

When the league’s eight-contest Game of the Week schedule was announced in August, the Oct. 27, Nov. 3, Nov. 10 and Nov. 17 games were deemed “Wildcard” dates where the matchup would not be announced until roughly two weeks prior to the contest.

Entering this week the two teams are separated by just one game in the OVC standings. It will mark the 51st all-time meeting between the programs, with Eastern Kentucky holding a 44-6 advantage. Austin Peay won last year’s game, 31-24 in Richmond, its first road win in the series since 1977. Three of the Governors six wins in the all-time series have come in the past nine years.

This marks the sixth-straight season the league has produced the Game of the Week package in conjunction with Tupelo Raycom (formerly WebStream Sports).

With offices in New York, Indianapolis, Charlotte, Nashville and Los Angeles the company develops new programming and delivers live events, music specials and branded features for broadcast, digital and in-venue entertainment.
