Sep 25, 2016 | Soccer

Richmond, KY – For the 6th time in the last 7 games the Eastern Kentucky Lady Colonels shutout their opponent. EKU just dominated Jacksonville State in a 3-0 win.

Bailly Bounds would start off the scoring. Bounds scored her first goal of the season in the 40th minute to give the Lady Colonels a 1-0 lead.

Tara Claus would add her 2nd goal of the season off a Jordan Foster assist to give the Colonels a 2-0 lead.

Kayla Childs scored her first collegiate goal of the season in the 65th minute for a 3-0 lead.

Anna Hall would record her 4th straight shutout. The Lady Colonels (7-2, 2-0 OVC) defense hasn’t given up a goal in 372 minutes. That defense would only give up 2 shots the entire game and only 1 of those would need to be saved by Hall.

On the other side of the pitch the Lady Colonels offense would put up 21 shots, 9 of those on goal.

Next up for the Lady Colonels is arch rivals Morehead State at EKU Soccer Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 pm.
