RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University softball’s Paige Murphy had a record-breaking week, earning her Adidas Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week honors.
The senior hit .700 over four games this week, going 7-for-10 at the dish. Murphy collected four walks and was hit by pitch twice. Murphy notched two doubles, five runs batted in, scored five runs and launched her 17th home run of the season.
The Louisville, Kentucky native took ownership of the single-season runs scored, career runs scored and single-season home runs record this weekend.
Eastern returns to the diamond for a twin bill with Belmont University on Wednesday. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
