Mobley doubles down on OVC awards

Starting with the first play from scrimmage, Dy’Shawn Mobley rushed his way to the OVC Offensive Player of the Week along with the OVC Newcomer of the Week. Mobley rushed for 123 yards on just six carries (20.5 yards/carry) in Eastern Kentucky’s 55-13 victory over Morehead State in its home opener. The transfer from Kentucky took the ball on the first play from scrimmage and rushed 61 yards for a touchdown. He also set up the Colonels second touchdown with a 54-yard run later in the first quarter. The junior also had two catches for 10 yards as he saw most of his action in the first quarter. Mobley ranks 19th nationally in rushing yards/carry (6.64) and 24th in rushing yards/game (97.3).
