BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – For the second time this season, placekicker #Andrew Lloyd# was named the adidas OVC Specialist of the Week following his performance in the Eastern Kentucky University football team’s dramatic 36-33 overtime win against Eastern Illinois Saturday night.

Lloyd made both of his field goal attempts, including the game-winner in overtime, as No. 16 Eastern Kentucky came from behind to top Eastern Illinois and remain undefeated (6-0). Lloyd connected from 24 yards in the second quarter and 29-yards out in overtime to give the Colonels the victory. The senior hailing from Winchester, Virginia, is now 8-of-9 on field goal attempts this season and has made 14 of his last 15 attempts dating back to last fall.

For the season, Lloyd leads the Colonels in scoring (48 points), has been perfect on PATs (24-of-24) and has tallied 21 touchbacks on 37 kickoffs.

The other OVC weekly award winners were Murray State quarterback KD Humphries (Offensive), Jacksonville State defensive back Jermaine Hough (Defensive) and Eastern Illinois quarterback Jalen Whitlow (Newcomer).

Eastern Kentucky, one of just five remaining unbeaten teams at the FCS level, travels to Tennessee Tech this Saturday, Oct. 18. Game time is set for 8 p.m. ET.
