Attended this one, I thought we may be turning the corner before heading down the final stretch!
Both Young and Narvaez showed what they are capable of in this outing...and for most of the game our hitters came to life! The new line-up in the infield is the best combo we've had all season, both defensively and at the plate!
Save for one miscue by an outfielder we really played stellar defense against the Cats! Our Leftfielder had a catch that should be a web-gem on ESPN(do they still do that) robbing UK of a HR with an over the wall catch!
Lots of recruiting to do for next season! We lose our top two performers, both in the field and at the plate! Although both had an off night against the Cats offensively! Their senior leadership will be missed! Both had great careers here at EKU.
Hope we can pick up a veteran pitcher to help with our two young returning pitchers! They are both good and will get better... they both performed brilliantly tonight in a very high profile game! Just a little more stamina and they could have pulled off a monumental upset tonight!
