That's an interesting landing spot.

Obviously they've been a hot name recently with their final four run followed up with another great season in which they were easily in the tournament regardless of conference tournament status. They also just moved into a great conference in the AAC.

But their team has scattered to the wind (like many), and the coach who made all of that happen is now in Ann Arbor coaching the Wolverines. They play in a gym that many high schools would snicker at.

Ultimately, they probably put together a pretty good NIL package is my guess. But I know that Walker got some early looks from schools like IU. I thought he would land with a bigger brand name. He's a great player.

Portal for EKU was for sure odd. I thought Leland was going to land at a decent power 5 school as a sixth man/depth or to a real good mid major. Comer to a quality mid major. Comer lands with the 10th ranked team in the MVC and Leland to a team that didn't make the tourney last year and now has a new coach, complete rebuild. I never want guys to leave but if they do, I want them to excel and make a bigger name for themselves.

According to Jeff Goodman EKU has landed College of Charleston transfer Mayar Wol 6’8 190 Forward
