I hope the team is not thinking this way. If we don’t beat Bellarmine I think we can forget bracketology. Stetson beat FGCU today. By one point.
I am afraid of tonight’s game.

Why would you think the team would even be thinking about this?

I would think the team knows how tough a game it is for us when we play in Louisville.

Hypothetically, if we won out through the ASUN tournament does anyone think we could get to the 15 line? That dramatically increases your odds of having a marginally winnable game. That non-conference resume is not going to please the committee, though.

Depends on conference tournament upsets.

Absolutely. We should be rooting for them in every conference other than our own.

We could. I think the chances are slim. As an other poster said, we’d need a different conference to have a lesser champion. For example, if the OVC had say, E. Illinois win it who is 13-14 right now instead of Morehead who is 20-7. Then, sure. We could.

Realistically, I think we are a 16 seed at this point unfortunately due to our non-conference record against D1 opponents. I know we have been strong in conference, but, being 2-9 against non-conference this year absolutely killed us.

I think had we just gone say, 5-6, or 6-5, in those games and we would be 18-8 or 19-7, then we’d be looking at a 14 seed. Just unfortunately didn’t play out that way.

Need to finish out these last, what would be 7 games, if we were to make it to the big dance.
