I wonder if they had to cut back on some of the additions to the arena! If a new end zone is going to happen...I don't see how that can be accomplished! That entire wall has to virtually be removed!

And If I read this correctly...construction won't start at the end of this season but at the end of next season. 23-24

Regardless, I'm happy to see this long needed update for our hoops/vball Arena.

Can't wait to see the new/updated timeline

There will be work in and around AC prior to full construction work starting after the 24 season.

Waiting to see if something is announced publicly.

I read that the first floor of alumni is already under construction (offices, locker rooms).

Wonder if those will still be done now

Phase 1- wall coming down, suites, concourse.

Phase 2- rest of arena, and finishing touches.

Just my best guess cause I’d assume the wall and all that would take much much longer than the new seatbacks in the arena

I don't think there's much new, but there have been renderings out for quite some time (you've probably seen them...I just couldn't tell for sure).

Some planning is going on as the capital projects submission to the state for 24-26 included $150m for Begley/RKS.

They released soemthing a while back that I think said they believe that with renovations it has about 20 more years of life in it. My hypothesis is that they will raise money in a first phase to do what they need to in order to milk all they can out of that 20 years, and then as those two decades are playing out they'll be slowly raising money for eventual demolition and replacement.

But who knows.
