3/26/2020 - 2016 PF Darius Hicks (6-8, 225, 3★) will be transferring.

I expected this. I think he knew he would never start again. My guess is he will go to a D2 school where he can get some playing time.

He’s just been hurt so often and inconsistent when he’s on the floor that I think it’s best for both parties that he move on.
I think Balogun has huge upside and has three years left, so he’s going to gobble up more minutes, plus there are other big men coming in.
I wish him well.

I really wanted things to work out here. With that having been said (and it might be a total coincidence), we basically went on our run of success right around the same time we went down. I think for us the more Tre King is on the floor the better off we are, and Balogun really was coming on as a viable backup by the end of the season.

Gosh I hope so...both for him and for us. I hope he got some good advice from this "EW" fellow.

On his own twitter he describes "going through the draft process" to "get feedback." My guess is he decides to come back, but this is definitely unexpected either way. They're going to tell him he needs to learn how to pass the ball and not turn it over before any pro team will start drooling over him.

Could very well wind up being a better college player after the experience.

Announced on · Apr 1, 2020 – an April fool’s joke perhaps?

I had that thought, but I'm doubting it. It's so careful in the way he worded it that it just doesn't come off as a joke to me. I agree with Smidge. He may be a better player for having done this.

The only thing is...are the normal channels for feedback even going to be in place this year?
