That depends. Can someone clarify:

Are we talking about coordinating the defense against the run game? If so, that's not unusual. Coordinators often coach a particular position on their side of the ball as well even in power conferences.

If we're talking about helping to coordinate the offense while coaching the DL...that would in fact be very weird and would concern me to some degree.

it is a run game coordinator for D, I would assume the Jake Johnson would be in charge of the passing game, allows each one to have more time on each specific aspect

he's not, he is the Dline coach, he also will help gameplan the running game of opponents, it is a very normal thing, basically its a title that goes with what he already does on Dline
