This is some of the most exciting news I’ve heard from eastern. It would completely and totally change the university with higher enrollment with more tuition but also higher earning potential for alumni. I hope they work for more professional schools. If I had the money to help I certainly would. I also think that a veterinary and optometry school would be cool/useful. In so many different ways.

It sounds like the state is finally allowing schools that aren't named UK and U of L to get some great programs. Murray State is most likely getting a vet school and EKU the D.O. program.

Also rumors going around that state schools are going to get an increase of state funding which would also be HUGE for schools that really rely on it.

house passed the legislation, next stop the senate. Senate deals with state funding so if that passes, basically zero shot we don't get it
