SO if we can get excited for a 0-3 football team why not a team that is undefeated in OVC play? EKU Soccer stadium should be packed Sunday. This team was picked 5th in the OVC. Well they have already knocked off the 2009 regular season champs and the 2009 OVC Champions.

Did I mention the 12 NEW PLAYERS that this team has? That right 12 players who never played Colonel ball before, that means this team is young and is already a force to be reckoned with. It amazing o see how much this team has expanded from being a brand new NCAA Division 1 team just 6 years ago.

One final point is Nicole Donnelly. She was named a Primetime Performer of the week by collegesoccer360.com. Other players on that list attend these schools; UCLA, Colorado, Denver, UTEP, Notre Dame, Marquette, Nebraska, Boston College, Wake Forest, and Stanford. She has scored 3 game winning goals already this year and is only a freshman.

EKU is now 3-0-0 in OVC Play and #1n in the conference. The season is long from over as they now go on the road for 4 straight matches. EKU is 1-9-4 on the road in the last 2 years. If they can return home from this game winning 3/4 they will be in good shape for the regular season Championship.
