All I can point to is the one key player we lost. Cooper Robb was the glue for the past few years. He made everyone better—especially Moreno.

What a horrible overmatch! Now we know how the lesser teams we pounded felt. Distinction is that both ‘Bama and EKU are D1. Purdue will be even tougher. Didn’t realize we had the worst 3 point defense in the country. Have the same feeling I had during football.

Offensively, we are too much dribble drive one man play. Exceptions are some good set plays for Cozart. Blanton never looks to kick it out. Walker gets too careless with the ball. Defensively, if our pressure does not force a turnover we struggle getting into half court defense.

I am heartsick over this basketball team. I was so looking forward to basketball after the letdown that was our football season. Have we never seen a match up zone before? You can bet we will for rest of this season. Next three games will be tough. Couple may be beat downs.

Bob Martin retired the Old Haag Rifle after we won it back in the first of a long string of wins over Morehead. (Anyone remember the We Beat Morehead Again posters?). Anyway Dr Martin was infuriated after a loss at Morehead when the Morehead student paper ran a photo of him handing the trophy rifle ...

We can’t play 40 minutes. With 5 minutes to go Louisiana’s players have better legs.

I’m embarrassed we would schedule such a team. No honor in this win.

I am beyond disappointed with this team. There is no leadership. Out coached in the second half again. Long season ahead.
