Re: Rumor mill starting early...

Just for the fun of it, here's how I'd like to see it work out (based only on schools playing FCS scholarship football right now). Atlantic Sun North EKU East Tennessee Chattanooga Austin Peay North Alabama Bellarmine Liberty Lipscomb Atlantic Sun South Central Arkansas Jacksonville State Kennesaw S...

Re: Houston Baptist

Here's what I've come up with through four games of the Walt Wellls era. We are a much better coached team than under Mark Elder 1) Improvement from game to game 2) Improvement and adjustments in-game, halftime adjustments made during HBU game and we were a much better team in the 2nd half. So far, ...

Re: Head Coach

I'm not convinced the program was on the rise under Thompson/Cole. Watched a lot of their games. Defense was always a problem. Never finished higher than 6th in the OVC Was 5-11 against Morehead State and 4-9 against Murray State. Swept by both in 2019 (Cole's first year on the staff). Started 12-2 ...

Colonel12, I'm curious out of those three why you pick Shaun Cole?

I see two guys with head coaching experience. Shaun has a lot of experience, but not as a head coach. everyone values things differently. Just curious how you came to your assessment

Re: Marshall Preview and Predictions

I think the tie-in is the clenched fist emblem on the back of the helmets. I checked the official BLM organization web site and did not find a clinched fist logo anywhere on their site or on the clothing they sell. Ironically the clenched fist has been used by many different groups over the years. ...

Re: Marshall Preview and Predictions

Like G, I am not an expert on the BLM organization. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but did anything the EKU players do, wear or say connect them directly to the BLM organization? As far as I know, BLM the organization is not the owner or originator of "Say Their Names" or "Enough is Enough". Ther...

Re: Marshall Preview and Predictions

I offer these observations 1) Out of 45 players on the offensive and defensive depth chart, 21 of them have very little Division I football experience (true freshmen (9), redshirt freshmen, sophomores playing key roles for the first time, JUCO). I'd say anyone who thought the early part of the seaso...

Re: Hamilton Gets a 2-Year Extension

Chris Mack has a seven-year deal at Louisville, and Cal has a lifetime deal. Mack's deal automatically adds a year if and when Louisville gets a post-season ban for the Adidas scandal. I'm thinking Scott Satterfield's initial deal was for five years, but I'm not 100% certain on that one. None of th...

Re: Hamilton Gets a 2-Year Extension

There’s like a 4 year max for contracts for state employees iirc. Chris Mack has a seven-year deal at Louisville, and Cal has a lifetime deal. Mack's deal automatically adds a year if and when Louisville gets a post-season ban for the Adidas scandal. I'm thinking Scott Satterfield's initial deal wa...
