NASHVILLE, Tenn – Two big homeruns from Daniel McFarland wasn’t enough for the Eastern Kentucky Colonels as the Belmont Bruins win 6-5.

The three run shot in the second inning was McFarland first career homerun.

Kyle Nowlin would add a run in the fourth with a RBI on a fielders choice to make it 4-0.

Belmont (10-8, 1-1 OVC) would start their rally in the fourth with a 3 run shot to cut the EKU (10-9, 1-4 OVC) lead to 4-3.

Belmont would take a 5-4 lead in the fifth.

Daniel McFarland would hit another homerun to tie it up 5-5.

Belmont would drive in the game winning run in the sixth.

EKU and Belmont will play in the rubber match at 2 pm tomorrow.
