Attendance overall was down last year. Starting out the way we did played an impact. Although HC was sunny, it was cool temperature wise.

They did, but last year was a bit of an attendance anomaly from the 2-3 years before it which had been strong. We're going to see a lot of variance from season to season based on multiple factors:

-How often do our home games conflict with UK home games.
-Weather?
-How good are we?
-The issue of games aligning with student breaks

I'd say at an absolute minimum we need to maintain, at all times, a situation that could hold a crowd of at least 10,000 if need be. We won't fill it every time, but we don't want to give regulars the chance to get out of the habit of coming to games.

My honest opinion is that Moats is counting attendance more accurately than Roan did. I think Roan counted sold tickets instead of people actually coming to the games. That is why attendance "went down." Roan wanted attendance numbers to look good for us to go FBS.

It was definitely actually down this year, and it's not like that's a Roan specific thing. Nearly all schools inflate their numbers that way, and Moats just came from a school that just finished an FBS push. It's hard for me to imagine he would make a deliberate move away from that with all that considered. It wouldn't make a ton of sense to suddenly go out of our way to make ourselves look worse regardless of conference situation.

I'm just curious, 66, would you prefer a renovation or rebuild? I've been back and forth many times myself because each one comes with its own set of complexities.

Whatever time it takes, build a new westside and develop the east side. Make it student and fan friendly. Maintain our rich tradition, but don't dwell on it. We can honor Roy best by winning! Offering intermittent sideshows is not working. I enjoy coming back to Richmond, but it is a Big Blue town. UK gear is the biggest seller. Students and parents wear UK gear to Colonel games???? EKU football is and will always be a unique fall tradition for me and my family. I skip the Lexington exit on my way to Richmond. If you are going to show up in blue, take the Lexington exit! Go Colonels!
