Anyone heard if EKU is opting in or our of the House settlement?

Interested to see what the impacts are either.

NDSU is opting out.
The Montana schools are opting in.

It was the lawsuit to basically allow to pay players. If I read the info correctly the big schools were the main plaintiffs but the impacts will hit all schools to pay for it. From the basic settlement for back pay the cost to EKU will be around $400,000 a year for 10 years. The overall cost of the settlement is $2.78 billion.

Now the schools have the option to either opt into profit sharing with the athletes or not.

So waiting on the UAC decision for football impact. CAA opted in. Max roster spots 105 for football. Can fund more than 63 scholarships if affordable.
