4-3 in game #1 and 11-0 (run rule) in game #2.Game 1 was a close back and forth affair with both teams shinning some leather but EKU wins in an extra inning thriller 4-3!
S. Miller singles home J. Miller in the bottom of the 8th for the win!
Katlin Young came in to relieve S.Reynaso and pitched a stellar 4 innings, giving up only 1 run to pick up her 1st win of the season!
Even better Young has gotten progressively better in the circle and has proven to be a solid contributor for EKU! Game #2 was owned by C. Robinson who had a 2 home run game! Her second was a GRAND SLAM to put the Colonels up 8-0...7 of those runs came via Robinson's homers!
L. Narvaez pitched a really nice second game giving up only 2 singles on her way to a complete game shut out over Stetson! It was Narvaez 3rd win of the season and the freshman's 2nd shutout!
Narvaez and Young have a bright future for EKU...and both are starting to come on strong as the Colonels are really just getting started with the ASUN portion of their schedule!
1st back-to-back wins of the season...going for the sweep tomorrow!
