Just as many turnovers as steals. Kimble was incredible on the ball today but you can't turn it over at that rate and continue to take poor shot after poor shot. The only good shots we took were contested looks from Blanton but because he's so good he covers up a ton of error/bad spacing/bad decisions we have on offense. AW has never ran traditional sets much other than getting guys in certain spots and asking them to make a play. Player driven program I get it but its bit us enough now that I am kind of sick of those calls coming down the stretch of games.

If another scoring option besides Blanton doesn't appear then we will be in a world of hurt. I would love to think its Kimble/Crawford but they are careless with the ball, get in horrible spots and just cannot handle as well as you'd expect from lead guards. I understand the Buttry and Holt frustrations but lets be honest guys if the defense decides to not help off them they will not get shots up. Neither of them has enough wiggle to get past anyone at a D1 level so they have to hope they get space via a hard drive and help over.

Poor free throw shooting, bad offensive efficiency and easy straight line drives on defense have been the bad end of the story for the whole AW tenure. It will always be there. When we win our ability to force turnovers, offensive rebound and good 3pt shooting cover our other lapses but more often than not against decent mid major teams those things come back to haunt us in the end.

Still hopeful for the season but this was the only game this week KenPom had us favored. We may not win a D1 game until EIU or conference play now (very real scenario).
