Alumni Coliseum has been the home for EKU basketball since the 1963-64 season. The volleyball team has played in AC since 1991. The arena currently seats 6,500 fans for athletic endeavors and up to 8,000 for other events. While many upgrades will be made to the facility during the renovation, the iconic wooden ceiling featuring wooden laminated cross-arches roof spanning 309 feet will remain."

Alltech is intriguing. It’s not on another campus. Don’t know about the cost of getting it set up fir basketball for each game.

I don't know if this will be part of the renovations or not, but I was wondering if, in an effort to make AC more multi-purpose, they might move to a pieced together movable playing floor like most arenas of our size and bigger. If so, I'd think we could probably order the new playing surface to be ready for the 2022-2023 season and just use it at Alltech too if that was a viable option for a temporary home arena.

I know it was the home long ago, but we would be better off playing in the new Rec center or heck the old rec center by the stadium before Weaver

I think he was joking. I know I was. I don't think any of those are an option from a capacity standpoint. I'm also unaware if the courts in the rec centers are college 94' or high school 84' courts.

I'm sure they were joking, I'd say those courts are HS length
