CU Harrodsburg
I’m embarrassed we played then. What’s the point? Not even their main campus.

I get that these kinds of games are a necessity to some degree. I can even rationalize that when you go off the D1 path, you might as well go super weak because the last thing you want is to lose one of these games. It's also worth noting that non-D1 games don't get factored into the NET, so there's no cost there. No one particularly looks forward to these...but I get it to a degree.
But I've said this before, and I will say it again. If we're going to be playing weak NAIA and D3 teams three times every year, then it makes no sense in the world that there isn't an annual Berea vs. EKU game. At least that would generate some local interest.

I am not sure how AW contract is worded but a lot of these games are always added to schedules for coaches on this level for bonuses, extensions, etc.
20 wins per season is always a good measuring stick for a coach. 4-5 are gonna be gimmies. A coach could have a firing clause for being under 15 wins for 2 straight seasons or "low attendance" but if all their games are legit games and fans don't want show up to a game unless they are good, it hurts scheduling all decent games for the coaches and fans.
Of course I wish we played 5-8 money games per year but that's just my opinion.

Especially this year. Why are we not playing Berea this year? We can play in their gym but we are to cool to actually play them?EKU05 wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 8:24 am I get that these kinds of games are a necessity to some degree. I remember when we played Berea and it was a humbling experience for Scott Perry.
