Up next is the first of our power conference opponents. Should be interesting.

Clemson is a solid ACC team that will be a huge test for us. They are coached really well by Brad Brownell who has been there for quite a while.

Overall they are a balanced team with their scoring coming from a lot of places. They currently have four guys averaging double figures and their 5,6, & 7 leading scores are averaging 8.5, 8.5, & 9.5 points/game.

Defense will have to be locked in and we cannot simply stop two guys from scoring, everyone will have to be on their game that night. If not, it can snowball on you quickly.

Of note, through two games, albeit against lesser opponents, they are shooting a ridiculous 48% from 3 (23/48). When we go to zone we will have to be mindful of gap awareness and cannot get too far over in our help. If we do, it will be extremely difficult to closeout on the shooter and that half a second could be the difference between a contested 3 and a wide open look.

I agree, and I might even go further. The preseason consensus is that they are part of this year's clear top four in the ACC with a significant gap between them and an whole bunch of interchangeable, solid teams populating the middle of the conference. Clemson should be really good. If we keep this one under 20 I'll call it an excellent performance (and that's not an insult to us at all...Clemson is just good).

Incredibly solid start to the game. Using our athleticism and not settling for rushed 3s. Playing with them end to end.

Our rebounding has been a little suspect.

AW extremely animated in the huddle at the 8:03 mark. Looked to be getting into Martynov. Didn’t box out on two possessions and allowed two offensive rebounds before the time out.

Buttry is getting taken every time he is the on ball defender. They are bringing Martynov out to top of key on ball screens for switch. Buttry was down low on a big for extended period of time. Lucky they didn’t see it.

The lack of blocking out by our whole team is embarrassing

Buttry and Holt are the same player. If they’re not hitting 3s they’re D3 level defenders. Our boxing out is awful tonight and we cannot hit a 3 for anything.

Positive it is a 4 point game and Blanton might be the best player on the court tonight.

We can’t hit a shot. Goodness. 6-22 from 3. They have shot 9 more free throws than us.
