SFA

Post by Steve 82 »

Last ride for Parker and 7 others going thru Senior Day.

SFA has gotten thrashed their last to games. But they are still a big team.

I'm coming down from Indy for this one.

Go Big E!

Not me. I’m ready for bball. I don’t see any evidence of changes that will make next year any different from this year or the past few.

I will never apologize for winning, and am glad we could win one last time for the greatest player we’ve ever had.

But it is sad as I watch on TV, that even with 1 min left in the game I was still nervous.

Unbelievably disappointing season. If Jake Johnson is still employed by the university come January, I am finished with EKU.

From a football season ticket holder, to the box seats, to basketball court side seats, to my business school donations, I’m finished. Sad it has come to that? Yes, but EKU is what brought me to KY, what allowed me to succeed, and it pays me back by allowing an under qualified, over his head, incompetent head coach ruin our tradition rich program.

I do not believe Walt should be the head coach to begin with, but since we just signed him to an extension, he can live to see another day. When that is up, good riddance.

Our defensive backs coach should be relieved of duty as of this minute, as should Jake, but since he is an EKU alum, I know or I at least hope, they are just waiting to fire him after the holidays.

If both are employed come January, I will personally cut a check to ensure they are no longer in Richmond.

Sad, sad days to be an EKU football fan and a Colonel.

I’m fed up. You all talk about about moving up to FBS… laughable. We’re lucky we don’t get forced to move down to Division 2.

Understand your frustration and I am frustrated too with this year as I certainly thought it was to be much different.

I will say this as long as I can I will continue to give to the program regardless of who is in charge. It’s my school my program and my pride!

Based on what I heard in the press conference for this game it sounded like changes will occur. Wells wasn't going to speak about that before the end of the season. I am expecting changes in staff.

...I'll say it again.

Wells will be HC in August when we go to Starkville to pick up a
check and he may be facing Jimbo Fisher across the field.

If he isn't, we'll on the road to becoming another school which
has become a turnstile for coaches. If next year brings us a
losing season in our division and/or conference-it is time for
him to go.

When selecting another coach, may I suggest we get serious
and dig a little deeper in our pockets-and bring in someone
who isn't in their first head job and with a proven record.

I honestly don't know why the current and previous ADs don't look at successful D2 coaches or an Assistant HC or Coordinator from a D1AA powerhouse such as North Dakota State.

We need to get out of the mentality of just hiring former EKU coaches.

Really hope Walt makes a change at DC. We can't be in a shootout every game. Having to score 38+ every game isn't sustainable.

I completely agree, although to be fair, they did deviate from that with Elder.

I know we're not getting a new head coach next season, but if/when the time to make the next hire does come, I think successful D2 head coach or perhaps an existing FCS head coach who has had some success at a lower-budget program could absolutely be the way to go.
