It was great seeing the Colonels get the win. What did everybody think? What's the status on Allen and Scott?
Re: Eastern Kentucky University 31 EIU 24
I'm out of state with family and didn't get to see the game.

Watched most of it on ESPN +. Didn't get to see the comeback. Seemed like a game we would of lost last year again

My understanding is Allen gone for the year, Scott back in 2 weeks , maybe. We gave up over 500 yds of offense.. Maybe we need to look there also... There seemed to be a better energy from the team today. Play calling was much improved. Had the change not been made at OC ,we would have lost today. Not sure why the WR’s can’t catch the ball thrown from Scott.. Fortunately, they ended well, making some big plays. This could have been Carter’s breakout game. He was in beast mode in the second half. AP , get held almost every play. He’s a fighter.. tough player... Looks like one of the freshmen will be getting reps at QB. Wonder which one .. Nice to hear Cabin on the Hill today !!!

...like everyone, I'm glad we won.
Like the Martin game, we won with Howard at QB and
a strong emphasis on the run. Just like in Martin-the 2nd half,
the O-Line delivered and the RB's flourished.
Does the team respond to Howard in a way they do not to
our drop-back style QB's ? I still believe games are won
along the O-line, even when the opponent is up by 10
points or more. Howard has QB'd two wins in the last
three games; yes-against teams with poor records, but
games we could easily have lost. We played solid,
fundamental football for the most part and at times
in those 2nd halves-dominated through execution.
The Colonels are-at best, a mid-tier OVC team at
this point. I'm not sure there have been any truly
"quality wins" in 2018. Losing home games to JSU
and Murray by a total score of 90-13 is shameful.
I have no idea what will happen-vs-Pee and Tick
in November. Wins are crucial-and winning
in a convincing, dominating way would indicate that
perhaps "lights have gone on" both on the field and
yes-on the sideline.
Go Colonels-beat Pee !!!!

Re: Eastern Kentucky University 31 EIU 24
Great summation Eternal. I don't know if Howard has issues with the coaching staff, but he makes plays on the field. The second half play calling was much improved, as was the execution. I hope we can win out. I am tried of listening to all the crap form my Morehead/OSU Buckeye wannabee friends. I watched the 3rd Q form the east side and had a couple of beers with 2 former players. For all you old codgers, like me, the east side has the feel of Old Hanger. I can remember when we had to go to Hanger at 11 to get a seat for a 1 o'clock game. The box score says we had 4400 yesterday, but they must have stayed in the parking lot. I am hoping for better days. Go Colonels!
Re: Eastern Kentucky University 31 EIU 24
I felt the offense executed better under the new OC change. I noticed a positive attitude on the sideline. All players seemed to be very encouraging to playmakers and responsive to coaching instructions. How we execute through the remaining games can be an indication on where we will be at next year. A lot of skill players on this team. With the right play caller in charge it's very possible EKU can start rebuilding to a team to be proud of. Very happy for QB Howard for staying true to his talent and allowing things to settle. Very proud of #25 for being a team player as he deals with a down year with low volume play calls and nagging injuries. Still early to make predictions but it felt really good to see a uptempo offense.#GO COLONELS
