Re: ASUN Basketball
Incidentally #6 seed Wagner beat Merrimack to win the NEC and will take a 16-15 record to the dance, undoubtedly taking one of the Dayton spots.

Re: ASUN Basketball
You make some good points favoring this tourney layout. If played in Huntsville the crowd at the finals would have been much smaller. I’m watching the NEC finals being played at #2 seed Merrimack. Smaller gym than Stetson’s, but completely full and loud. As 05 said, it depends on what you value.

ASUN Basketball
I watched the last two OVC tournament games and am now watching the ASun finals. I have to keep reminding myself that “The ASun is not a step along the way. The ASun is a destination”. Apparently the destination is a tournament final being played in a high school gym. What does this make the confere...

Re: Jacksonville Tournament Game 1
When we lost those two last week it told us something, but I had no idea it would be this bad. No. 10 seed beats us in our house.
This hurts even though we didn’t look like we could win 3 straight.

Re: Lipscomb 3/1 & Tournament Scenario(s)
This has become infuriating to watch. We look clueless on the offensive end this half. Being outscored 31-13 this half. Last year in the CIT we were the come-from-behind team. We finished strong every game. This year had been the opposite. It seems like we get ahead and then relax. AW said that at ...

The guy said they are just below us in attendance. Hard to believe seeing the “crowd” at this game.
We had a really good crowd Saturday

Re: Bracketology
I hope the team is not thinking this way. If we don’t beat Bellarmine I think we can forget bracketology. Stetson beat FGCU today. By one point.
I am afraid of tonight’s game.

Bellarmine
Bellarmine will not be a pushover. They have played well recently, beating a couple teams in the top half of the conference. Not only that, they will absolutely fill their gym. EKU had planned to take a bus down but Bellarmine is only giving us only 50 tickets! Don’t go down planning to buy a ticket...

Re: Bracketology
I never liked the idea of a win in that game counting as a tournament win, but I’ll take it! Looks good on the record. And Dayton is an easy trip.ohcolonel6 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 22, 2024 11:58 pm . ..a victory in that (play-in) game counts as a tournament win, fun fact.
